I'm backpacking through Europe in the summer of '09, is it worth to buy a Eurail Pass?

I'll stay in Europe from 8 June to July 14 and I will visit London, Amsterdam, Paris, Nice, St. Tropez, Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, Barcelona and Madrid. I know the Eurail pass does not work in England and I'm planning on flying from Rome to Barcelona … so do I still get a pass for eight days to travel? Also, is it worth to buy one of these cards to international students if I'll stay in Europe for a month? If you have any helpful hints and suggestions on backpacking through Europe, let me know! Thank you!

Eurail passes can be worth the cost if you are under 26 years and not much Travel using slower regional trains. Then, there is no additional cost, but you can end up making many changes and train delays are longer travel. You need to go very long distances (like you). However, if you use the faster trains, there are booking fees and supplements for each train. Here in Italy, the costs range from 5 euros for an Intercity train up to 25 euros (perhaps more for a berth in a train night). You need to make a stop at a gas station to get the reservation before boarding the train – there is a heavy fine if you have not done that. There are often discounted ticket from point to point for high-speed trains higher as long as you purchase tickets at least one day in advance. (The Amica fare on national trains here Smart or tariff for international trains.). You need to plan a rough itinerary and go to individual sites train tickets and compare prices at cost plus supplements Eurail. The German train website is a good place to do the route planning for the train travel across Europe: Train http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en sites: Italy: http://www.trenitalia.com/cms/v / index.jsp? vgnextoid = Ad1ce14114bc9110VgnVCM10000080a3e90aRCRD Spain: Netherlands http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html: http://www.ns.nl/cs/Satellite/ns2007/en/mainmenu/include/1193053691834/travelers?p = 1193053691834 France: http://www.sncf.com/en_EN/flash/ Eurail Supplements:, http://www.eurail.com/1_reservations_supplements_international_trains http://www.eurail.com/1_reservations_supplements_domestic

Euro Rail Pass

euro rail pass 2 Euro Rail Pass
What is the least expensive and faster to travel from one country to Europe?

I have been to Germany and Netherlands and the train ride. I bought a Euro pass the railing, but it was 260 dollars and took me to three different cities. Is the best way to travel? Ryanair is cheap I hear, but I have not researched yet. Suggestions? If I do the bus?

Finally Ryanair and Easyjet have a look at their sites: http://www.easyjet.com/asp/en/book http://www.ryanair.com/en / index.asp? Lang = en The only small problem Ryanair could be the fact that airports in its territory of aircraft they are never central, but somewhat far from the city, so you must take a bus to arrive in the city, it usually takes about one hour, but it is perfectly offset by its price … PS: do not trust those who say that Ryanair is not safe what are the skeptics who can not understand why their tickets are so cheap, but they are completely unaware that the security is not the thing which is "sacrificed", there are other things that allow Ryanair to compete as the low number of workers, a "no frills" policy, the fact that the Ariport taxes that are used by its planes are weaker than the main airport etc etc. .. Have a good trip!

euro rail tickets Euro Rail Tickets
Where can I buy a train ticket in euros?

I want to go to Europe in December. but i cannot find the ticket that goes through Europe. not single tickets. can someone help??

NOLA Guy has given you some links where you can find the passes. Before you buy a pass, you can read information on train travel in Europe on this site: http://www.seat61.com/. There is much good information on how to decide that passes is good for you and how to use the pass when you have it. You should also read the sections entitled "Common mistakes railpass:" applicable in the countries you are traveling in. The site also provides links to different countries. You should know that even with the pass, you will need to make reservations on many trains and pay a fee for them. For example, here in Italy, the fast trains an additional cost of 10 euros for each train. The night trains and international trains require reser / supplements as well. You must ensure you buy the seat reservation before boarding the train because there is a heavy fine if you do not. One of the most useful sites to find schedules throughout Europe is as follows:

Rail Europe Contact

rail europe contact Rail Europe Contact
Inter Rail around Europe – accommodation, budget, travel mates – so many questions!?

I will further ramp across Europe in April this year for a month. I was just wondering in the rare nights where if I am not able to find me a home Can we really decent sleep in the stations? Because I guess sometimes if you take the train connection and it is a long wait between then (say 6 to 7 hours), you should be allowed to. Can you take your backpack as a pillow and sleep a little? Also, if someone else will feel to contact me .. I am going alone and would not really prefer to maintain the status quo. To go to Brussels, Berlin, Prague, Venice, Verona, Milan, Barcelona, Lyon

In some places where you are allowed to wait in the station between two trains in the middle of the night, but mostly not. Most major stations are scanned from people around the time of the last normal service day (around midnight) and only one or two platforms work night (if they have night trains), and are kept free of people unless you have a ticket for a train within an hour or two. 6 or 7 hours between two trains are not considered connecting trains and people trying to sleep in the station are often regarded as homeless or worse. What you can sometimes do is take a train that runs night and pay a little to "reserve" a seat or a little more and staying in a bunk. In summer it will be very hard, but in April or May there should be space. More You might be able to get in a hostel which is one of the few cities not the city that you wanted to stay. (It does pay to have a good guide and use a phone, either your own phone a high cost, or a public phone somewhere in town.) If you look stuck, just start calling the list in your guide until you find one with space. for a single traveler it is almost always a place to sleep. Or opt for B & B by through the tourist information office. only the holidays it might be difficult to find a place to stay, others date mostly you might have to go to another city up. Cost, butget at least 50 € per day, more if you want to eat outside and / or if you want to drink often. Knowing others is easy in hostels, you can often also set up a small add, looking for travel companions. Or you just meet in the kitchen when you cook your dinner. Hostels are the best choice for places to stay, but some people use couchsurfing and loves: http://www.hospitalityclub.org/ http://www.couchsurfing.com/ I've never done, but I stayed with people I do not know well through my hobby, and I always enjoyed the experience. A good site to find the hours of work and travel on any train is the better the planner German travel, it is also available in several languages: http://www.bahn.de/international/view/ en / index.shtml and much information on InterRail including maps of rail and FAQ (Please read) is on their website: http://www.interrailnet.com/ For guides, I like the Lonely Planet series, you can buy the one that covers your entire area of travel, but not much more (if you can.)
