Inter Rail around Europe – accommodation, budget, travel mates – so many questions!?

I will further ramp across Europe in April this year for a month. I was just wondering in the rare nights where if I am not able to find me a home Can we really decent sleep in the stations? Because I guess sometimes if you take the train connection and it is a long wait between then (say 6 to 7 hours), you should be allowed to. Can you take your backpack as a pillow and sleep a little? Also, if someone else will feel to contact me .. I am going alone and would not really prefer to maintain the status quo. To go to Brussels, Berlin, Prague, Venice, Verona, Milan, Barcelona, Lyon

In some places where you are allowed to wait in the station between two trains in the middle of the night, but mostly not. Most major stations are scanned from people around the time of the last normal service day (around midnight) and only one or two platforms work night (if they have night trains), and are kept free of people unless you have a ticket for a train within an hour or two. 6 or 7 hours between two trains are not considered connecting trains and people trying to sleep in the station are often regarded as homeless or worse. What you can sometimes do is take a train that runs night and pay a little to "reserve" a seat or a little more and staying in a bunk. In summer it will be very hard, but in April or May there should be space. More You might be able to get in a hostel which is one of the few cities not the city that you wanted to stay. (It does pay to have a good guide and use a phone, either your own phone a high cost, or a public phone somewhere in town.) If you look stuck, just start calling the list in your guide until you find one with space. for a single traveler it is almost always a place to sleep. Or opt for B & B by through the tourist information office. only the holidays it might be difficult to find a place to stay, others date mostly you might have to go to another city up. Cost, butget at least 50 € per day, more if you want to eat outside and / or if you want to drink often. Knowing others is easy in hostels, you can often also set up a small add, looking for travel companions. Or you just meet in the kitchen when you cook your dinner. Hostels are the best choice for places to stay, but some people use couchsurfing and loves: http://www.hospitalityclub.org/ http://www.couchsurfing.com/ I've never done, but I stayed with people I do not know well through my hobby, and I always enjoyed the experience. A good site to find the hours of work and travel on any train is the better the planner German travel, it is also available in several languages: http://www.bahn.de/international/view/ en / index.shtml and much information on InterRail including maps of rail and FAQ (Please read) is on their website: http://www.interrailnet.com/ For guides, I like the Lonely Planet series, you can buy the one that covers your entire area of travel, but not much more (if you can.)
