Purpose of the Euro Pass / Rail / Rail Pass?

Traveling in Italy, Spain, Germany. I went to buy the Europass but he said I had to make a reservation for the train which costs about half of the pass. What is the purpose of transmission? I looked online at to these countries and they seem to run cheaper to go there individually without the passes available to purchase the pass and then purchasing reservations train. Not to mention the trains take about 13 hours against 2 hours on the plane. I'm really just trying to understand the move. I checked many important sites. I'm really looking for someone, basic explanation. Thank you in advance. No website PLEASE (unless used as sources).

The passes are coming into existence before the cheap flights and express trains that make the necessary reservation and expensive. Now they stay because many people like to travel by train, and while the pass may not be the cheapest option, it is most convenient. If you just want to move capital to capital, the plane is the means. But if you want to see a large number of countries the train is preferable. And while the plane trip takes only an hour, you need to go to the airport (often one hour) arrived two hours before the flight, flying, and waiting your luggage before going to one bus or train. This can take up to 6 hours for a one hour flight. So the train journey London-Paris is faster than the flight, all inclusive. If you decide to buy a train pass, check the "slow" train options, you often do not need to pay a surcharge on those, and they often do not cost a lot more time. (Or give you a night on the train instead of a hostel and even save money.) And instead of a train-pass is valid for all days in a period of two months, you can also buy one that is just few days of these months, saving you a bit. And if you buy passes just to the country you go, rather than a Global Pass you can save even more.

The Best "less known" attractions on a Eurail Vacation

Previously known as Europass, Eurail travels through more than 20 countries beautiful and picturesque. With a list of destinations which includes France, Germany, Ireland, Greece, Italy and Spain, there are world famous tourist stops that are fairly obvious. Many travelers believe Eurail vacation would not be complete without a stop on the tourist hotspots like the Eiffel Tower in France, the Rhine in Germany and the Acropolis in Greece.

These visits incredible stops are a good start to holiday Eurail. However, given the amount of country Eurail passes through, each with its own history and landmarks, there are many great stops visits are neglected. These nations are often traversed by tourists Eurail, but are certainly not explored as far as France and Germany, for example. Eurail Vacation provides tourist travel through the East, West, North and South of Europe. Throughout this impressive scale cultures and countries, it is understandable Some tourist destinations happening. If you are planning a vacation Eurail and plan to go sightseeing, take a look at some of the less know tourist areas between visits to the Tower of Pisa or the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren.

Bulgaria

This nation of Eastern Europe is nicely on the west side of the Black Sea. Its capital, Sofia, features numerous parks, bars and clubs making it a fun place to stop. He also has over 250 historical monuments and culturally valued places such as museums and theaters. While it can not be dealt with the same enthusiasm that cities like London and Venice, it is one of the most frequently visited in Bulgaria. Many regions of Bulgaria are absolutely beautiful, but are less likely to be visited many traditional Eurail travel across Europe. The mountainous terrain is accompanied by a wide range of physical characteristics, and a trip to beautiful and interesting as the training of its sustained winds through many different landscapes found in the country. This diversity provides the best places to see in the county. The Black Sea beaches are very popular in summer, and many Mountains provide great skiing. These factors combine with the historical monuments to make Bulgaria a great place to visit on holiday in Europe Eurail.

Portugal

Spain neighbor is often overlooked by many teams of tourism in its vicinity. Though smaller, Portugal offers many unique opportunities. Less than an hour on a train can travel from lush, green, vine-covered mountains, rocky, mountain slopes, at land that is about to be considered a desert, and finally to a sun filled strip of beach. There is not too many places where you can enjoy this great variety in just one hour. Eurail trails through this beautiful nation of wind along the rivers and along the castles that dot the landscape. These natural wonders compliment historic sites over the Roman era and make the nation of Portugal, a wonderful place to visit. A final point of attraction is the economy of Portuguese wine that provides a variety of environments beautiful and fragrant. This small country is truly a wonderful place stay.

Slovenia

Picturesque and friendly nations of Eastern and Western Europe are great places to enjoy the visits, but an investigation of one of the jewels of Central Europe should be included in any holiday and Eurail. Slovenia is a nation that corresponds to the mold. Located between the Alps, the Mediterranean and the Pannonian plain that country is able to offer natural attractions such as mountains, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, forests, caves, mountains, plains and even hot springs. There is also the Mediterranean Sea, just in case any the rest was not enough. Slovenia is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. There are also many small towns and villages across the landscape, and make attractive destinations for those seeking cultural experiences. Its capital Ljubljana is famous for its Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings, and offers many Art and other major attractions.

Finland

Finland can offer a haven for tourists from Europe North. As a nation, it is thoroughly modern with well-planned cities and small towns. This makes the country extremely accessible, and simplifies the travel process greatly. This, however, is not the only aspect that makes the value of visiting Finland, it is simply much more attractive. Among the things to do in Finland are the northern lights in winter and midnight sun in summer. The country stretches far enough north that these phenomena are possible in the experiment firsthand. Another major natural attraction is the land of many lakes. Boasting approximately 188,000 lakes with many islands corresponding the country is an ideal place for those who love water sports. It also offers vast expanses of nature apart from its modern cities that have been preserved. This combination of wild nature in urban areas and to make Finland a vibrant and diverse place to visit for all Eurail Traveler.

Europass Train

europass train Europass Train
I have a schengen visa to travel to Europe. Which is cheaper: Train (with Europass) or Airlines?

I stayed in Switzerland for 3 months. So I would like to travel to France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands. Which is cheaper to train / airline. Also in the trains of the type of europass should I buy? Also, I have only international Maestro debit card (bank SBI). So i can book hotels / hostels online where I want to visit. Can someone clarify the links to find cheap accommodation in the tourist areas? Thank you in advance!

It depends on where and when you're away. There are still some airlines operating budget of many here in Europe and there are often options goo air for long trips. A couple of good resources for flights are: http://www.whichbudget.com/ and http://www.skyscanner.net/ It is often cheaper to buy individual tickets here rather than a Eurail pass, especially if you can buy tickets in advance and enjoy reduced rates. Note that even with the neck, there are booking fees and surcharges required on higher speed trains and night trains. To determine if a pass is worth the money, you need to establish a route. You can price tickets on individual websites countries train and compare the cost to the price of the card and all applicable reservations. About 75% of travel plans for those I checked were the purchase of individual tickets cheaper. If you do a lot of Last minute travel using regional trains, the pass may be better. These are the sites I used for hotels http://www.venere.com/, http://www.hotels.nl/. You might also be interested in the sites of the hostel places even cheaper. http://www.hostelseurope.com/ , Http: / / www.backpackingeurope.com/, http://www.hostelworld.com/continentpage.php/ChosenContinent.Europe?source=googleadwordscontinent&gclid=CMyQq6Hv65kCFUU_3god4yMVRg

is euroline as Europass buy booking fee?

Hi I am planning to travel around Europe some countries from France, Brusselsl, amsterdamAustriaiItalyy, Spain and Switzerland in a few days. exponents Soeuro took extra charge for reservation of seats so different loads in each railway company, but I do not know euroline. I plan to buy youth ticket within 15 days is 260 Euro. Will I pay additional fees when i book my place in each terminal??? I just need the cheapest ticket travel aroundEurope'ss certain countries?? could u help me please???

Its principal products are Eurail passes (formerly known as Europass and informally known as name Eurorail passes) and InterRail passes, with which a passenger has largely unlimited ability to travel on almost all European Railways and some shipping lines at a fixed price per day of travel or travel in a number of days. Eurail sells a variety of hobbies, including those that are specific to two to five bordering countries, discounted passes for groups up to five people traveling together, or for those under 26, passes which provide unlimited travel in a period determined, and spends that provide a fixed number of days of travel in a longer period. The Eurail Pass is the price of travel in first class, while some countries have second-class passes cost. Trains that require reservations, as the TGV, Thalys, Eurostar and overnight trains (with sleeping compartments) need a supplement. Both rates covered by the pass and the reservation policies and fees vary considerably from one country to another. In general, rates are higher and covered reservations required rare in the north, while the rates are lower and more frequent additional costs south. So in reality the transition is more expensive than walking fairs in the southern countries like Italy and Spain. In Italy, the cost per Day passes over the 10-15 euro reserves generally exceeds the cost of any trip on a train. In Spain, reservation required are common and have cost Don Quixote, perhaps even more than the walk up fare. A Eurail pass can be profitable in France since TGV reservations are approximately 5 euros, but the availability of reserves is extremely limited and they can not be purchased online. The traditional Eurail pass covers 21 countries, from 2009: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey. other passages, such as the Eurail Selectpass, allow select a series of bordering countries. For purposes of calculating the price, some regions count as one country: Benelux, Slovenia and Croatia and Serbia-Montenegro and Bulgaria. The United Kingdom is conspicuously absent, but provides a separate set of passes. Eurail passes can be purchased by residents from outside Europe. Residents the Commonwealth of Independent States are also ineligible to buy them. It is possible for non-Europeans to obtain passes in Europe, but they are cheaper and easier to procure outside. The InterRail pass is a Rail Pass, available only to those who have resided Europe for a minimum of six months. The pass allows unlimited travel for a period of time. Some high-speed trains and overnight trains require payment additional booking fees or surcharges. One Country Pass The One-Country Pass is available for each of the following countries, with the exception of travel Country of residence: with the price (a higher level of country): * France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Norway, Sweden with two price levels: * Austria, Benelux, Spain, Finland, Greece Plus, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, with three price levels: * Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Romania Country with four price levels: * Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia There is no password separately for Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, instead there is one for the entire Benelux (price level 2). It is also available for residents Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, but for them it is only valid in both countries are not the country of residence. The "Greece Plus" ticket includes the transfer of ferry between Greece and Italy. Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro do not take part in the Rail-One Country Pass offers Inter. The One-Country Pass has replaced the neck Eurodomino.
