For inter-body around next summer in Europe – where would you go?
What places would you say are a must to stop at, and those that are not worth the trouble? im on my gap year and want to see all the different views of Europe and to control as many languages as poss! advice is much appreciated:)
You know, if you want to see some nice little places to try to travel around the Bodensee (Lake Constance) is in southern Germany. Not many people seem to do there and it is simply magnificent. Small towns are so well preserved and a little old. The campaign is also very beautiful. If you stay in Friedrichshafen you can take a bus to Meersburg is an old city Midievel on the lake and one of the most ancient castles is Europe. Across Friedrichshafen is a town called Lindau. It is a pedestrian zone and a city RENIEC perfect, bright and colorful. Some other cities near there Weingarten (Basil beautiful with the monks to warm), Ravensburg (old walled city). Friedrichshafen itself is interesting and pretty. It has a beautiful promenade along the lake and is home to the Zeppelin. It was badly bombed during the war because of it. You can take a ferry from Friedrichshafen to Konstanz, which is an old, old university town which was very lucky to survive the war. The Constance cathedral is the location of historic Concil of Constance, where the Bohemian martyr Jan Hus was tried and burned. The Czech Government has built a museum that it is worth seeing if you are planing to go to Prague, where you can see enivitably the Jan Hus Square and perhaps to visit his church, the chapel of Bethlehem. Across the lake in Germany is Austria and Switzerland. This Only a few hours in Zurich and I even went on a Saturday once and for Lichtenstein. It is also just a nice neighborhood. The people are nice and friendly, but does not speak much English that perhaps other places you might learn something Swabish (the local dialect of German). You spend enough time in Germany and you realize that there is no such thing as "German". It is Swabish, Frankish, Baden, Bavaria, etc., I recommend also strongly Budapest. If you're interested in languages you try thinking that one out. I am a very good communicator, but the language is strange.
