travel by train europe 2 Travel By Train Europe
I am from Ireland and I would like to travel around Europe by train in late summer 2010. advice?

I work full-time now and I need until the end of summer 2010 to save as much money as I can. IV euro-rail/euro-train heard of but I do not know anyone who has traveled this way. I would first like Ireland, I also know Details on the train to know the trains are comfortable with? Are you allowed to sleep in trains? I would like to travel to at least 8 countries at the time As I prepare to travel myself, but if anyone out there who made the same plans than me so maybe we should get in touch! im female, 23 years. thank you!

As native of Ireland (or resident who has lived for 6 months) you can use InterRail is better option in my opinion. http://www.interrailnet.com/?gclid=CKfzu4TN5JkCFZCD3god7CLdQw In Ireland, you can start with a ferry to England or France Schotland and here you are free to travel in other countries. Or you can fly to one of the countries that are on the map. This way, you can take any What country and the price of the ticket is probably not more than you pay for the ferry. The Eurostar train is not on the InterRail Pass, you just get a discount on it. So you would pay twice if you use England / road Schotland. Unlike Eurail, InterRail not include the United Kingdom. You can sleep on the train, but unless you have no choice, what if the night journey is quite long, at least 7 hours, I would say, more than 9 is better. Or overnight for most trains you'll need to make reservations. If you try sleeping in a seat, it is mostly a few euros, but if you want to fix (much better) may be 20 to 50 euros extra depending on the train and when you make your reservation. You are allowed to sleep, and not just at night but also during the day. If you are likely to fall asleep during the trip by train, take an alarm if you do not sleep too long for your station. Most trains are comfortable, at least as good as the trains in Ireland. Try to restrict yourself too much. I found it was better to travel slowly, use 3 days for a big city, at least a week for a country. Thus, 8 countries take eight weeks for me. Course, Small countries are taking less time. If you start your trip when schools were still on vacation, make sure you have reservations, but as time passes and he is September, you can travel and see where you end up, like most hostels will not fill that time of year. There are many questions about InterRail and Eurail, which is also well on the site. Often, with different information, the subject is too large for a single response.
