How do I travel between Stockholm, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris by train?
Im headed to Europe with some friends in August, and we fly to Stockholm. We'd love to visit Berlin, Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris, then head to London. I am trying to search for the train, but they are either crazy expensive or do not connect in the places we go. Does anyone have knowledge or experience with rail systems of Europe? Any idea would be appreciated! Thank you
What sites are you looking at? Trains are generally an expensive way to travel. Regular rates are measured by the distance traveled, the farther the better the price. (And you want to travel distances are not exactly short.) There are special offers to travel by train, but you must book in advance on the Internet. Availablity is very limited too. For trains leaving and going to look at Germany www.bahn.de for trains to and from the Netherlands to see and trains www.ns.nl and France see www.voyages-sncf.com. www.bahn.de has the best site for research train schedules throughout Europe, use it to know if there is a train that goes where and whenever you want. If you can not find a price for a train ticket international online www.jizdenka.cz try – it is very good with estimates of flights. Given the distances involved also watch. I can recommend the sites www.skyscanner.net Web and www.whichbudget.com. Coach see www.eurolines.com Finally, watch a Eurail pass. This seems to be the best way to combine all the cities you wish to train. Www.eurail.com
