Rail ticket cancellation Europe?
I want to get my point of Europe Rail Tickets point (which I had reserved trvael by an agent in India) has canceled before the travel date of Sept. 28 The note said that it is 80% refundable. But I was told by the travel agent that I to get the ticket stamped by the authorities in France, then submit it to the travel agency so they can request a refund. Please I suggest the correct procedure or a link to the site phone number / where I can get correct information about what I do not think the agency is transparent with me. Thank you very much
The cancellation policy is on the website of Europe's railway in the FAQ section: http://www.raileurope.com/us/common/rail_terms_and_conditions.htm "Totally unused tickets point-to-point received by the issuing office before the first date of validity are not refundable. Tickets received after the first day of validity are not refundable for cancellations and stamped "Not used" by a railway official at the departure station. These tickets are refundable up to six months after the last day of validity. All refunds are subject to cancellation fees 15%. Tickets submitted after the first day of validity, which have not been canceled, are not refundable. If the validity date of bill is passed, you need to do stamped as "not used". However, if you return the tickets before the expiry date, you not need to have their stamp. This should be specified in the terms and conditions of the documents you received with the tickets (it can be printed on the ticket).
