rail europe tickets passes Rail Europe Tickets Passes
Vienna, Budapest, Krakow, Berlin by rail ?

I’m planning a trip to Central & Eastern Europe next year. I’m hoping to fly into Vienna and travel by rail to Budapest, Krakow and Berlin. Any advise on whether it’s better to get a rail pass or to buy point-to-point tickets ? As the distances are quite long, I’d prefer to travel by sleeper train. Does railpass cover sleeper trains ? I also welcome any other advise or suggestions like hostels or (inexpensive!) things to see and do. I’m planning a 3-week trip.

get a rail pass they have ones that are good for unlimited travel for a set period of time. the restriction is that you can not travel same route in a row. meaning you cant go from berlin to paris and paris to belin then berlin to paris.

If i remember correctly (been a while since i have done this) but you pay an additional fee to get a sleeper at time of actual leg of journey.
