Question about rail travel in Europe?
So I bought a Eurorail pass to select 3 countries (Czech / Austria / Italy) and I was wondering how I will deliver the actual time of departure? I know their is a small fee, so I take it I do not show up station and just book the international reception, or someway i can take care of it online. Thank you!
If you take a local train, you do not need a reservation and there is no extra charge. However, for high speed trains higher, you must go to the station and pay the reservation charge. (See FAQ Eurail: http://www.eurail.com/1_faq_how_do_i_make_a_reservation). Most supplements are nominal, but supplements for certain routes or types of trains can be more.
