A simple secret of Big Sur Saving Hotels in Europe
Do not let a strong euro to prevent you from planning the trip of a lifetime in Europe. A hotel strategy to save money is so simple, you can use for your next getaway quite across the pond. And your portfolio will smile!
Who can resist the lure of Europe? Many of us have long dreamed of exploring Class Paris, vibrant Rome, Salzburg charm, and other eye-popping European cities. These destinations devoted charged with ancient history, the most beautiful attractions, lively street life, and delicious cuisine are so tempting that we can hardly wait to escape to the mainland.
Armed with our passports, we nail a plane ticket rock-bottom, hold a portion of the rail or car rental affordable travel from our agent, then start Internet hunting for "affordable" housing in the most popular places in Europe. Of course, we're probably familiar with bed and breakfast stays low, youth hostels, campsites and other accommodation options cheap. But what if we prefer always the amenities of a European hotel?
Hotel City "sticker shock" hit me hard when I checked the rates for my favorite hotel in Rome. In 2002, I was trapped in a double room with buffet breakfast at the hotel for only $ 85 per night. Now the same room costs about 300% more … a whopping $ 285! I quickly did the math and realize our 'Holiday market "might be closer to breaking the bank.
So what's a traveler to Europe on a tight hotel budget to do so during periods where the rate of good ole dollar exchange is not what it was? Enjoy a more authentic, relaxing, and experience less expensive in Europe! Just head to 15-30 minutes outside the city and the night in a small town right on the line main railway from the city.
Here's how to plan. First, go on the net and google sites European national rail. Austria s', for example, is: http://fahrplan.oebb.at/bin/query.exe/en
Maybe you planned to stay in Salzburg and Vienna. Search a map of Austria and locate a city that looks close to your target city.
Read Zell am See, in this case. On the railway site, type Zell am See, in the "from" or "start" space and then add "Salzburg" as the "destination" on the "to" Online. You can then search for "stop" between Zell am See and Salzburg. Choose a town two or three stops away from your place on the target line main gear. Note that the towns of Hallein, Golling-Abtenau and Werfen are just outside of Salzburg on a main railway line.
The next step is to google "Hallein tourism" or "tourism Golling-Abtenau." Each city will probably have a list of websites pleasant family hotel. Often, 40% -60% less than the cost per night of stay at the hotel in a big city, the night rate to an "on-the-periphery" Hotel includes not only a charming room, but dinner and breakfast delicious. What a deal! Bon voyage.
