travel by train europe Travel By Train Europe
Does anyone have any ideas of a good route to travel through Europe by train or plane?

My girlfriend and I are thinking about travel to Europe next year, but are undecided on the way to go, it seems that we are trying to cover all of Europe in one trip! Any ideas would be appreciated!

Lol … We tried to do a similar thing last summer … all Europe in 6 weeks … its a tough question! If you go for a year, you have a little more time but there are definite musts on this list! All First, I would recommend an InterRail Pass, it allows free train travel in all EU countries, the train is absolutely the right way to travel. else part i would recommend "Europe by Rail" is a book designed for people hiking Europe by rail on a budget and will be perfect for what you did, he scored scenic routes and links to some of the first places in the roads so you can relax a little – You can also obtain a European timetable has train almost all the train schedules for the entire continent. We did not, but it would have been helpful to say the least! I would like to start in France, not Paris and work your way down depending on how long have you … you could spend some time in the Loire Valley or if you ever want to … you could stop in Barcelona, then work your way along the south coast and across the Riveira. I definitely recommend Nice, it has much to do, nice weather and beautiful beaches. Monaco is also a day or two that you probably can afford to stay there. but its certainly worth while … my boyfriend wanted to go just to watch the Grand Prix track, but the casino is interesting to go and look at the jaw droppingly price of jewelry in stores next! From there I might be in place in Switzerland (Berne is beautiful) or down in Italy … Evidently Rome is a great place to start, Naples is beautiful with great pizza and real Italian atmosphere .. You can ride on Vesuvius, Pompeii to go (for what I would recommend a guide) or Herculaneum and definitely check Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast is beautiful. Venice large, and on the 3rd weekend in July, they have a big party with fireworks and a party on the beach until the morning .. I think festa del Redentore its called but if you go to Venice and then I! – Austria Salzburg, they are obsessed by the sound of music, not the hostel YoHo free screenings every day! but it is a beautiful city, I visit the castle, and perhaps with fountains helbrunn bike ride (if you can make a guided tour only -! we have completely lost for several hours) Hallstatt is a small village reached by a boat, its very touristy, but incredibly picturesque. they have the oldest salt mines in the world of mines you reach by train and dragging along on the wooden slats on the bottom! Vienna was also a of my favorite places, it has a film festival of the summer which is great if you can adapt Slovenia-Ljubljana is wonderful, it has many history, and there are some fantastic museums. its got a real sense of national pride – there are many places to drink too! visit Lake Bled endangered, its amazing, I think you can rent boats in the summer and skating in winter ice or simply on foot around the edge. Krakow is amazing and very cheap, you can visit Auschwitz for the day is shocking, but very interesting, with free passes InterRail. I think free entry, but thats 12 euros for a tour and film that is worth -. Munich Germany is incredible, says im Oktoberfest is fantastic and is worth going, but the city itself is fantastic. Berlin is brilliant and you can get free bike tours visits Sandeman. i would go to Prague, visit the astrological clock when he puts on his "show" at this time. you can get free rides here as well, search folders, but they meet outside the tourist office at 9am every day except Sunday, if I remember correctly. I wouldnt recommend unless you Scandinavia have a big budget and whose mind the rain … although my experience may bias me somewhat! Have fun and I hope this helps!
