Schönes Wochenende – Happy Weekend ticket for trains in Germany?
I want to use Good Weekend tickets in Germany. IMF on these tickets are http://www.bahn.de/p/view/international/englisch/travelservice/price_tourist.shtml I want to know if anyone has used these and how to go about making reservations for multiple journeys on the same day for the same people Using the same Good weekend tickets. ie if I want to book a ticket from A to B (German Rail website allows me to reserve these tickets at weekends), but if I want to also book B to C, the same day with these same tickets how can I do?
Happy Weekend tickets are valid for and the regional trains commutter (S-Bahn, RB, IRE, RE), for which you can not make reservations. Basically, what you do is buy the ticket, then travel around as you please, using as many trains mentioned above as you please, whether or Sarurday Sunday between midnight and 3 o'clock the next day. Schönes Wochenende tickets are great if you want to travel to a destination close enough and at the rear, but if you plan such a trip between Hamburg and Munich, it will literally take you all day.
